Collection: Castile Bar Soap: Cold Processed

Castile soap originated from the Castile region of Spain, developed by monks in the 12th century who substituted olive oil for the traditional animal fats of sheep and cattle used for soap making. Today Castile soap is immensely popular and has multiple variations by adding other oils to increase lather or decrease cure time. Montagne Vue Farms formulated our Castile soap to be a true product using only Olive oil. We allow the proper time for curing which can be more than 6 months. Our traditional formulation produces a soap that is mild, moisturizing, and great for use on all skin types. The soap has a relaxing Lavender scent that really helps wind down from a long day. If you have sensitive skin give this soap a try, you will find it very gentle.
